Scott Kelby Announces the Fourth Annual Worldwide Photo Walk

TAMPA, FL – August 24, 2011 – On Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, the whole world will be walking again with Scott Kelby, president of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and #1 bestselling computer and technology book author, in his Fourth Annual Worldwide Photo Walk™ — the world’s largest global social photography event in the history of photography.

This year, the Photo Walk will take place over two days in October giving more photographers from around the world a chance to participate.  In 2010, more than 30,000 photographers walked in over 1,000 locations taking 6 million images in just one day. We anticipate that this year’s Photo Walk will be one of our biggest events.

One Light Special

MAN. I often use my Speedlight. It is a SB 800. I contacted some homies from the skateboard community and an aspiring BBoy to and set up my one light special at Peace Park, QC Circle, Philippines.

It was a cloudy drizzling afternoon. Have to kill the ambient light for a few stops and placed my speedlight on my right hand side to create contrasting shadows.

PhotoWalk PhotoTalk   explored basic use of on cam speedlights with some photographers from Antipolo Rizal.  We took pictures during ToyConPh2011 event in SM Mega Mall, Philippines.

Amazing Anawangin

FIFTEEN minute boat ride from San Antonio, Zambales, reveals Anawangin Cove.  One of the hottest summer destinations in the Philippines.  Not a luxury getaway but a great vacation spot to bond with family and friends.

   Just like cub scouts, you sleep in a tent at night, in the morning, fetch some dried branches and cook breakfast.  That's how we do it in Anawangin.  You pump water from a deep well to rinse sand on your feet.  No electricity.  Still civilized than other remote islands in Zambales. A good way to start a Survivor like vacation.

   Well, other than surviving an overnight in Anawangin, eyes amazed by beautiful landscapes and sunset.  Sea water is clear and shallow.  Wind blows, rattling the pines.  It's a great experience.  I took pictures to tell a short story. A sneak peek to a Wow Philippine wonder.

Behind this cliff reveals Anawangin Cove.  From San Antonio, Zambales, mountains separate Anawangin, Pundakit and other islands of Zambales.  Only the bankeros can bring you to these destinations.

Tent for Two - A couple manages to bring a tent.

You can bring your own tent or rent one in San Antonio.  Boat owners also let visitors to rent their tents for Php350. Once you get in Anawangin you can select a camp site and pay Php100 per person. kids are FREE.
